Event Topic: Kingdom Community: The Context for Recovery
Summary: All people are designed for relationship and long to be welcomed into a healthy community. For people who have fled their homes supportive community becomes the crucial context for healing and recovery. This training will focus on the building blocks and potential barriers to supportive community relationships and how those are shaped by the biblical vision of the Kingdom of God.

Speaker: Rachel Uthmann
Rachel is the Director of Church Training for International Association for Refugees (IAFR), an international missions agency focused on the recovery of forcibly displaced people. She has worked with refugees and asylum seekers in Greece, Italy, England, and the USA. In addition to her work with displaced people, Rachel is committed to helping strengthen local churches and is eager to see people equipped and encouraged as they welcome forcibly displaced people in their context.
