Campers will be introduced to Computer Aided Design (CAD) and specifically the powerful modeling software, DSS Solidworks.
Solidworks is the premier CAD modeling tool used by professional engineers. Students will have the opportunity to create and draw in 3D design, learn tips and solutions to common difficulties, how to simulate their product virtually and what it takes to print their model with a 3D Printer using additive manufacturing! Solidworks skills have real-world career implications that will help young engineers and designers become leaders in innovation and find rapid career success before they graduate high school if they choose!
Every student will leave with a Solidworks license, software valued at over $1,000. This class requires a computer and campers must download the Solidworks program prior to coming to class. Be warned the download will take hours and a lot of space on your computer. The program is not currently able to be installed on Apple computers.
