R4Creating Mission The mission of our nonprofit, R4Creating, is to provide STEM enrichment to students, teachers, and families throughout New Mexico. The organization has three priorities including Building the STEM workforce pipeline, providing 3D printing services and offering a Maker Space/STEM Workforce Training to students. The competitive robotics team is a critical component that ties together this mission.
In the Spring, we have a community team open to any student, to compete in VEX Robotics competitions although registration is limited so be sure to sign up quickly. Teams are small groups of 2-7 students working together to build, program and compete with a robot.

Award-Winning Robotics Program The cost to participate on the team is $250 per family and an additional $25 per child. This money can be paid in one payment or divided out monthly, whatever is most convenient for your family. Scholarships are available should you need support to participate in the program. This fee does not cover the cost of travel to competitions.
In addition, students and parents will be asked to participate in fundraising activities to raise support for the entire program or to assist the team in some volunteer position.
Program Benefits While the membership fee does not cover the cost of travel to competitions, it does give you access to the robotics team in addition to other opportunities including: -STEM entrepreneurial training -Volunteer mentoring training -Student Leadership training -Letter certifying student volunteer hours upon request (with you providing number of volunteer hours)
Student Leadership Opportunities
The team itself is student-led. Therefore, students have the opportunity to take on leadership roles.
We strive to Be Greater Than Average which means we work hard at learning more each day - sometimes that leads to trophies and wins while other times it leads to failing forward and challenges. All of it builds strong character and that, in this humble coach's opinion, is the most important thing that we can teach any student.
