Course Description: This instructor-led course is intended to be delivered at the local level. The seminar-based course lessons provide introduction to the function, maintenance and use of portable chainsaws, and their technical application. The course meets the challenges workers face when performing tree removal operations where trees located in proximity to targets such as roads, buildings, and infrastructure require special technical cutting skills and equipment to safely fell trees into designated drop zones. Specialty cutting techniques and equipment will be explained, demonstrated by instructors.
