Join us on the red clay at PTC on Friday, May 29th, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM for tennis and a potluck social!
------------- DETAILS:
- Registration is limited to 64 players total. There will be a waitlist, but sign up early to secure your spot!
- Cost: FREE and open to any adult tennis player in Sumter/surrounding areas (18 years of age and over).
- Format will be doubles...with a team twist! Players sign up individually and will be placed on one of four teams. Each team will have a captain and players of all skill levels (beginner through 4.0+), so you will play against opponents at or near your skill level. (More info will be provided via email, and explained in detail at the mixer...but just do what your captain tells you to do!)
- We will start with a "Trivia Round" to be played as teams (IYKYK...no googling!), and then we'll head to the courts for three 30 minute periods of round robin play. Each team will have up to 16 players, so not all players on your team will be on court at the same time, and players will sub in as directed by your captain. When not on-court, cheer on your teammates while enjoying great potluck food, tasty beverages, and delicious champagne! (Food and beverages will be available throughout the event). BUT, be ready for your captain to put you in…in this flexible team format, substitutions are required to maximize a team's overall score, so expect everyone to play a part of each period!
